1439e307db 8050972: Concurrency problem in PcDesc cache 
The entries of the PcDesc cache in nmethods are not declared as volatile, but they are accessed and modified by several threads concurrently.

f63547bf71 7145569: G1: optimize nmethods scanning 
Add a list of nmethods to the RSet for a region that contain references into the region. Skip scanning the code cache during root scanning and scan the nmethod lists during RSet scanning instead.

79c90a15fa 7143511: G1: Another instance of high GC Worker Other time (50ms) 
Tiered compilation has increased the number of nmethods in the code cache. This has, in turn, significantly increased the number of marked nmethods processed during the StrongRootsScope destructor. Create a specialized version of CodeBlobToOopClosure for G1 which places only those nmethods that contain pointers into the collection set on to the marked nmethods list.

c4e301bffa 7024970: 2/3 assert(ServiceThread::is_service_thread(Thread::current())) failed: Service thread must post enqueue 
Change nmethod_lock() to also prevent zombification of the nmethod. CompiledMethodUnload events also need to lock the nmethod. Clean ups in nmethod::make_not_entrant_or_zombie()
