426f31e790 - Changed port validation introduced in commit #308035 to consider 
negative ports and ports > 65535 as invalid.
  The tests that fail due to #308035 in the standard ext were not
  fixed. If the behavior in those tests turns out to be the
  desirable one, both this commit and #308035 ought to be reverted
  or at least adapted.

33af99cbcf - Fixed the filter extension accepting IPv4 octets with a leading 0 as that 
belongs to the unsupported "dotted octal" representation.
- Fixed bug #53236 (problems in the validation of IPv6 addresses with leading
  and trailing :: in the filter extension).
- Fixed bug #50117 (problems in the validation of IPv6 addresses with IPv4
  addresses and ::).

why some code that looks intuitively wrong is actually correct. Related to
